Bully Prevention Month

"Hey, Carter! How your little dolly doing today?" A boy was laughing at a another boy playing around with a doll in the grass near the playground of Hills Middle School in San Diego, California. The laughing boy was a bully, which there were lots of this time of year even though it was bully prevention month.

"It's not a doll, it's an action figure!" said the boy in the grass. The other boy doubled over laughing. Suddenly, a large rock hit him right in the back of his big head. He was knocked out.

A girl wearing a black and white checkered shirt, black pants and a red coat stepped out from behind a nearby bush. This girl was currently a 7th grader and Hills Middle. Her name was Cerise Spookson, and she had thrown the rock.

"He's really, very mean, isn't he?" She said to the boy in the grass in her thick Irish accent.

The boy nodded nervously and asked. "Who are you?"

"Cerise Spookson," Cerise said, holding out her hand, "And who're you?"

"I'm Terence Carter!" He replied, taking her hand and shaking it. "What's wrong?"

Cerise was thinking hard about something. She was a bit of a loner, she didn't have many friends and she liked it that way. On the other hand, the boy seemed lonely to, and cerise was trying to be a nicer and more social person. she had made up her mind.

"Terence, do you want to sit with me at lunch? We could be friends!"

"Yeah, I'd like that a lot!" Terence replied.

THAT WAS THE STORY OF HOW CERISE SPOOKSON MADE HER FIRST EVER FRIEND AT HILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL. IF YOU SEE A BULLY, DO NOT BONK THEM IN THE HEAD LIKE CERISE! STILL STAND UP TO THEM. ASK THE PERSON GETTING BULLIED IF THEY WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH YOU. THEY NEED AN ALLY.
